Sporting Inspirations

We were very lucky this week to have a visit from future Olympian Feron Sayers. Feron is an incredible young athlete who is currently the second best long jumper in the UK, behind Greg Rutherford, and is hoping to make the GB squad for Tokyo 2020. He visited us to inspire the children and give them lessons that could help them in their eveyday life.

We started the day learning about Feron's life, how and why he became an athlete as well as who inspired him during a whole school assembly. Each year group then had half an hour where they took part in a circuit session looking at getting fitter. They then got to ask Feron some questions and the children really rose to the task, asking some excellent questions.

All of the children came away having enjoyed the morning and we really hope that they were inspired to continue on their journey, pushing themselves further. We were delighted to have Feron as our inspiration and will be running a sponsored mile very soon.

A massive thanks to Feron Sayers and Inspired Through Sport for giving us this opportunity.
